Surprised by the cost of three books recently purchased at BAM, I checked the prices of each of them vs. Amazon and Barnes & Noble. BAM's pricing was higher than both competitors by 10%, 47%, and 67%, i.e., over 40% higher for the entire purchase! The "Bargain Prices" implied in their ads is misleading. I was buying a book at the cash register and the cashier slides a piece of paper to me with various magazines on them and tells me I can choose three free magazines. I circled the ones I wanted, payed for my book and that was that. Eventually I got the magazines, it was mostly ***, but some of the articles were interesting. They never have anything your looking for and most books there are like 40 years old and if ask them to see if the book your looking for is in the back 30 mins later they come and say idk..... thats terrible customer service dont go to governors crossing in sevierville

I purchased several book last week to take on a trip. I paid for the books and was offered free magazines, which I declined. I enjoyed the book and returned to purchase the sequel on 7/15/16. The cashier assisted me in finding the book as it was still in the back and had not been put out for customers to purchase. I checked the website before I left home and found it was in stock. I highly recommend NOT buying an e-book through BOOKS A MILLION. Their customer service is like talking to a wall...pointless waist of time! I recently ordered a vinyl record from BAM online. It arrived damaged and when I called to have it returned, I was told that they would give me credit when they receive the item back, which is standard. The item was shipped UPS. They would only pay for USPS without me being able to track the item back. They told me that if I wanted tracking that I would have to pay for that. i ordered this book on Jun.23rd, paid for 2 day delivery, the book will not be delivered until Jun 29th. I could had drove and bought the book. So i call and UPS they stated the sent it regular ground. I was just in books a million. Had a coupon on my phone that was not expired they could not get it to work so they wouldn't honor it

Horrible experience. This is just the bare basics of my experience. The BAM e-book app is not user friendly. It lacks so many e-reader basic features, it actually makes just reading the book next to impossible. If you love a particular book, reading it in BAM e-book format will ruin the experience for you. I didn't realize that I needed a special app to read BAM books. This was disappointing, because my other textbooks were already uploaded... Read more

Ordered it 4/28/16 was told it shipped 5/5/16 and yet here I am 6/1/16 and have yet to see my order, website sais completed/ shipped and here I am still waiting
