I received a book as a birthday gift from my brother, i had already read the book so i took it back to booksamillion in Joplin Mo. I told the employee the book was a birthday gift and i had already read that book and i asked to exchange it for something different, she asked if i had a receipt and i said No it was a birthday gift, she said SORRY I CAN'T HELP YOU WITHOUT A RECEIPT STORE POLICY !!!

I said that was totally unacceptable and said I would be calling corporate, she then sarcastically asked if i wanted the phone number, so I said yes, went out to my car, called the corporate number and after 15 minutes on hold finally spoke to a woman , told her my delema and she said without hesitation, SORRY WITHOUT A RECEIPT YOUR OUT OF LUCK, COMPANY POLICY. Well then I I asked her, Do you really want to loose a life-long customer over a 15 dollar book? She again replied, SORRY CAN'T HELP YOU !!! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN, PERIOD..

Lots of other book stores to choose from so their Loss . BAD CKMPANY POLICY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Beware of BAM. When checking out they try to sell you services, memberships etc.

Just remember the word "NO".

They charge retail or more for books. I found that out just before Christmas 2017. I purchased 2 books there and paid 55.00 including tax.

The same books can be purchased on the large online shopping service with the letter "A" for over $20.00 less.

I have purchased items from BAM since they took over the old "Borders" store a few years ago.

I will state the two books I just purchased were my last from BAM.

My wife's credit card just got a charge from BAM in January 2018. We purhased items from BAM in December 2017 and have not been there since. We did not sign up for any services and why the delay in the charge.

As stated beware when shopping at BAM. They have questionable practices in the stores.

We called our credit card company and had the charges reverse.
