Books A Million - UNBELIEVEABLE THAT A COMPANY WILL DO THIS

The usual magazine fraud. I was not in a hurry when I made a purchase at Books A Million......I just assumed I was dealing with a honest young man at BAM when he said I could get 2 mos of free magazines. Was I surprised when I saw my credit card charges that I did not authorize for magazines I did not order, I did get my refund but I will never shop there again. There was no I'm sorry when I called......they were still trying to get me to continue my subscriptions (which I didn't want) for 2 dollars, This company must be desperate to steal my people like this,

I recently went into BAM to purchase a couple of magazines for my husband and a cookbook. I get to the counter and the pink haired sloppy cashier informs me that I have spent enough money to qualify for free magazines. I've been on this Earth long enough to know that...

I went in Books-a-million in Winchester, Va today at 2:25pm because my daughter got a book for her birthday that she already has. I went in the store just to exchange it for another book in the series. I wasn't trying to get cash back or store credit or anything. I...

Every time I go to books a million at the register your cashiers do not take No for an answer. You should not push people to take the discount card. Everytime I go in there this happens.I would shop more in your store if it was not for that.It is terrible that your...

Unfortunately, it is the primary function of the booksellers' jobs to sell those cards. They determine how many hours you're given and whether or not you get to actually keep your job. Trust me, the sellers hate having to push it just as much as the customers hate hearing it.

If you order a book... do not believe that it actually takes 3 to 5 business days. It takes a month. I was told that the book I ordered would take 1 week. 2 weeks later I checked in and the cashier guaranteed it would be there in one more week. So I call today on week 3. The cashier says that it has still not even been put on the truck. It would still be another week. At this point I am just completely done and upset enough to complain where I can. You shouldn't be lying to customers and wasting their time in order to sell one book.

I was in the store in Gulf Shores, AL. on 01/20/2016 with my newborn yorkie puppy. The lady at the front counter, name was Diane, told me (in a very polite voice) that dogs were not allowed in the store except eye-seeing dogs. I told her that I just wanted to grab a...

Ma'am, the first employee told you politely that dogs were not allowed in the store, unless they were service animals. You ignored her and proceeded inside anyway.

Should the second person have treated you rudely? No. But was she out of line telling you to leave the store with the dog?

Absolutely not. Here's a news flash for you: The rules apply to everyone -- including you.

I like to purchase children's Christmas books after Christmas for the next year. They are 50%. These are not the bargain section books, but the section where you walk in. There were three bookshelves with a sign that clearly said 50% off. At checkout three rang up...

Extremely angry that I can't just buy a book without the cashier trying to ram extra services down my throat!

I have to say it does get very tiring having to listen to the magazine dissertation, when all you want to do is pay for your items. Every single time you come in!

I try to be polite as a customer, as I have worked in retail, you do what you have to do to keep your job.

So I try to stop them( the employee) so they can save their voice for “one" at least. It is very irritating, BAM, so maybe try and come up with another way(?).
