Books A Million in San Francisco, California - No refunds w/ 1 Ebook download to 1 device, uncommon file type

1.0
Details
I highly recommend NOT buying an e-book through BOOKS A MILLION. Their customer service is like talking to a wall...pointless waist of time! It was pretty much like "I'd be more than happy to help you with that." Me: How or can I... Them: no Me: i need to download it onto my tablet but it's not letting me download it anymore Them: you can Download a total of 16 times Me: I only downloaded it twice Them: (attempting to price tech support) Me: it's not working Them: (same as previous) Starting to turn into a broken record and again... Them: is their anything else I can help you with Me: you didn't help me with the first issue... Basically, don't go there, I spent too much time running around in circles trying to get them to budge and help me and time is money. I already waisted $35 on a Ebook that they said cannot reimburse me for. I wonder why they have not gone out of business yet and why they would allow such horrible customer service. Yours Truly, Pissed off Customer

Books A Million in San Francisco, California - Terrible inventory system

1.0
Details
BAM has a horrific inventory system that does not reflect what products are available to purchase online. I specifically had some gift cards to use here and nothing's worse than having every item you order be 'no longer available and cancelled.' After having all of my orders get cancelled without any notice or apologies, I'm going to sell my gift cards and never buy anything from this place again. Needless to say, I'd highly recommend folks stay away from this place period.

Books A Million in San Francisco, California - Not worth your money/ rip off

Do yourself a favor and never buy an ebook from books-a-million! I bought an ebook from them and am only able to view it on one electronic device that runs Adobe digital editions. The file is non transferable as they say it is. Not only that, if you try to reset your password with Adobe digital editions, it's not going to happen unless you jump through loop holes to get it done. For someone who has no time to go through headache and the run around to get it done, don't do it. Purchasing an ebook with Amazon and getting it on kindle was a piece of cake. Going through customer serice with books a million is ABSOLUTELY USELESS! They ask, "what can I do for you," but they really can't do anything. I kept calling an getting the same guy that kept giving me mismatching information and horrible tech "un"support. Buying an ebook on books a million is like paying for FRUSTRATION. Do the smart thing and don't even go there.
