If you signed for the free magazines it authorizes them to give your credit card info to synapse corp (the company thet handles the magazines). Read the fine print next time.

As an employee at this company I can tell you that employees are constaintly hounded to sell the membership cards. Worst yet they do not remove the sales from those you already have said card and we are expected to have one card per $450 if sales.

Complain directly to corperate but please understand the boilerroom type of presure employees are put under. The cards and magazines are literally the only things management cares about; I hear very little about customer service.

Books A Million - Subscription Review from Gas City, Indiana

Be very careful when you make a purchase at this store with your debit card. They are very tricky about signing you up for magazines without you knowing it. Cancelling is not so easy either. They cancel but keep sending you magazines at a different price. And the "survey" that they ask you to do is not a survey. Whatever magazines you mark you are ordering without your knowledge. Shame on you Books A Million!!!!
