Books A Million - Etiquette
I needed help at the bookstore with a book on how to conduct yourself aS a lady. I specified grammar. This book is all about weddings and anniversarys. And formal sitdowns. I am a unhappy customer. I want a refund. I am an avid reader. Thank you.

Company policy encourages identity theft. I am not goimg to give my card to an associate over and over. I made a return which I thought could have been handled as an exchange, but they made it way more complicated. Then the associate gloated about how irritated she had...

Tonight I had a horrible experience at the Gulf Shores Alabama store. There were several employees working but only one sweet lady doing all the work. As she was walking back and forth from the cash register section to the coffee bar, the one man just sat on his butt down an aisle shelving books. I heard several people have to walk up and ask to be checked out because no one was at the register section. It wouldn't have been so bad but at exactly 9:30, he gets on the intercom announcing that the place will be closing in 30 minutes so bring all purchases to the front. Ok great....I get that. The poor lady had a line of 5 or so people, so does he come to help? No he comes over to gripe about the fact that she made a whole new batch of vanilla base this late at night. Ok so basically, I'm there 30 minutes before closing and he is going to gripe that a drink needed to be made?!?!? They could have said they were out and to select another drink, but instead my daughter was embarrassed that she ordered the drink and felt like she got the lady in trouble. It's like he didn't want people in there at all. Then of course, he makes the 15 minute warning. If he would have helped make the drinks or ring people up at the cash register, we would have been out of there way before that. If they want the store to close at 9:30.... They should change the hours. But as with everything else.... He probably thinks he's entitled to 30 minutes on the clock with pay but don't think it's his job to wait on paying customers. We were out well before 10 but would have been out of his way much sooner. I'm really sorry to have bothered him. Next time I will go to Daphne!

Extremely angry that I can't just buy a book without the cashier trying to ram extra services down my throat!

I have to say it does get very tiring having to listen to the magazine dissertation, when all you want to do is pay for your items. Every single time you come in!

I try to be polite as a customer, as I have worked in retail, you do what you have to do to keep your job.

So I try to stop them( the employee) so they can save their voice for “one" at least. It is very irritating, BAM, so maybe try and come up with another way(?).
